UK – Afroglobal insurance and reinsurance broker, Maksure Risk Solutions has appointed veteran broker Amador R. Torreabla as Senior Business Consultant to further strengthen the firms position in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Based in London, Torrealba will join the firm effective 1 December 2022 and report to Edgar Guilindo, Chefe de Divisao, Paises Lusofonos.

Torrealba will be responsible for expanding Maksure’s treaty and facultative presence in Latam and the Caribbean region.

Prior to joining, Torrealba is currently Managing Director: Latam and Iberian Peninsula at EKM Risk Consulting.

He has also held several senior roles at various broking firms including: Oneglobal, Alexander Forbes (Lockton), BMS, Sedgwick (Marsh), and Nicholson Leslie (Aon).

The appointment comes as the firm pushes forward with its Latin America and Caribbean expansion plans and diversifying the book from the largely credit life and health insurance business in the region.
