Johannesburg – Edwin Taruvinga has been in the reinsurance business for more than half a decade as an underwriter and has been appointed as Account Executive: Treaty & Schemes business at Maksure Risk Solutions. Edwin will be responsible for maintaining and growing treaty business as well as specialist schemes with specific focus on Africa, Middle East and South East Asia.

Edwin most recently worked at Emeritus Re as an underwriter responsible for treaty and claims management. He worked closely with cedants in structuring and pricing treaties as well as developing new products. Before joining Emeritus Re he work for the Central Statistics Office, Ministry of Finance as a statistician.

He graduated from the University of Zimbabwe in 2007 with a B.Sc Mathematics and Statistics and later obtained a Diploma in Insurance Science.
